Our oasis is situated within Costa Vicentina, a stunning nature reserve.
Casa da Anna not only encompasses the house as such, but also a very beautiful garden, a protected courtyard, as well as several terraces.

Casa da Anna lies within a quiet location and the house sits way back from the road. A former fishermen’s village, Carrapateira, is nearby. The Atlantic Ocean awaits you just around the corner, separated by a river and some picturesque sand dunes. One can walk directly from the house to the beach.

It’s named ‘Praia da Bordeira’ and is one one of the biggest, as well as most scenic beaches of the west coast. A second beach ‘Praia do Amado’ is situated on the other end of the village and especially loved by surfers.

There’s several opportunities to relax, such as hiking, fishing, surfing, golfing, horse riding etc. Or just doing nothing, letting your soul dangle.

Carrapateira has several cafés, little restaurants, surfing shops and a market hall to offer. In here, you can buy daily fresh fish, fruits, vegetables, meat or bread. The village’s little super market sells everything basic. But you can also find bigger supermarkets, like Lidl’s, within the closer surroundings and they are easily reachable by car.

Banks, the post office and pharmacies are located in bigger towns like Aljezur, Vila do Bispo, Sargres and Lagos. Gas stations are to be found within the general area as well.

Of course I love children and enjoy being petted, as well as getting fed. Don’t worry, there’s always plenty of cat food around!
